Think of it as spoken. You wouldn’t say Tango ampersand Cash. You would say Tango and Cash. Same with “vs” for example. You wouldn’t say Kramer vs Kramer. You’d say Kramer versus Kramer.

It was Tango and Cash and it didn't even occur to me that the "and" was a third word, my bad.
