It was probably made in the 2000s. I saw it on Sundance around 2005-07. The lead character has issues with his parents, but nothing too major... Suddenly, this (creepy) guy befriends him, and seems to devote his life to helping this guy, including running his parents off a cliff with his car, and killing them and the boy realizes how much better his life is. It's dark, but there's some humor with situations like those. I can't remember anything else.



I think the "friend" is Spanish, but for some reason I think it was in French. I also think the "friend" is a popular actor from Spain or South America. Bid chubby.
