"It sounds like Warner Bros. may finally be preparing to announce a replacement for Doug Liman on the Justice League Dark movie, as both Daniel Espinosa & Gerard Johnstone are said to be in contention.
When it was announced that Doug Liman had decided to step away from WB's Justice League Dark movie, IT director Andy Muschiett and Argentinian filmmaker Damián Szifron were said to be on the studio's radar, but now two more names have emerged as possible replacements.
According to Beyond the Trailer's Grace Randolph, Warner Bros. has narrowed the search to Daniel Espinosa and Gerard Johnstone. Of the two, Espinosa will be the the most familiar as he recently helmed sci-fi horror flick Life, as well as the underrated Safe House back in 2012. Up-and-coming Kiwi director Gerard Johnstone would be a far riskier choice, as he only has one feature under his belt - however, that little-seen horror comedy, Housebound, has garnred quite a bit of acclaim."
