2016 MoFies Discussion

I almost stepped forward and made a thread the other day where I was gonna take over as the host, change the name of the show to "The MoFers", have it take place around Christmas Eve/late December, have some new categories, get rid of the whole nomination thread thing (that's such a time waster), and prevent some people who always win the same category over and over from getting it again.

But I changed my mind and decided I didn't wanna deal with it.

Okay so we can go ahead with:

2015 winners cannot be nominated this year

Best Post Most Memorable Post
Ray of Sunshine and Thank you for being my friend combined into "MoFo you'd most like to meet"
Getting rid of "You're a Good Sport"

I'm totally fine with Master of Movies staying as it is.

But should we keep Overachiever and Most Improved? Yay or Nay?

Those are kinda fun and a nice way of punching a MoFo playfully on the arm.

Make up some funnier awards.

I was gonna have "Best Male MoFo" and "Best Female MoFo" with the option that you don't even have to nominate people of the correct gender for the categories. Mainly for Omnizoa's sake.

If someone has been solid for 2 years running, then everyone else should up their game for next year.

I quite like that idea. The nominees could then choose their running mates

No polls. If you're running it, you make the rules.

Which, if you're running it, means you can have a poll if you want.

Yeah, we could merge them for this year!
Or we could have it as one of the main awards of the whole thing for this year?

I dont know what theyre suggesting but please do not make awards that will make the person feel bad, yknow? People suggesting awards in the Fail categories arent likely going to be getting it themselves, lets not turn it into a slicked up way to smear people.

I am leaning to letting the winners being eligible again this year.

I'm just thinking that it would be harsh on reviewers who put an incredible amount of effort and dedication into what they do. It would probably look like a mess if I had a long list of 20 people who couldn't be put forward as well.
