now, for the presence of the real ethnic languages of the region,
the main one in importance (number, territory and historical significance - the south and east of Trentin having been a part of the Venician Serenissima Republic) being Venetan in three variants:
North Venetan in Primiero, Veronese in the southern valley and Arcaic Vicentin in the Valsugana.
in Trènt, they actually spoke a variant of East-Lombard but it got "venetized", so that this one can be counted as a fourth Venetan variant spoken only in Trentin.
i heard of course people speaking it, but very few in Trènt itself, unfortunately.
road signs, books, names of shops and museums depict the importance of Venetan thoughout the region, east and south.

I believe he's talking about me, as your "ex girlfriend". You'll have to forgive him, he's too busy correcting everyone on their language to make sense himself.

He's also firmly convinced that if you state objective facts that differ from his opinions, that you do it only because you don't like him. Facts be damned. I once posted a map of Spain and he nearly had to be hospitalized from the resultant hissy fit. This Italian thing will only buy you a year's worth of harassment.

that said,
1) i know that for the moment France, Italy, UK, Spain... exist and it would be stupid to deny their present (i.e. historical) existence (still, i allow myself to do so as a joke once in a while, as well as a freeing technique to relax a lil bit), which doesn't mean that one, intelligent person, has to accept the status quo as it is (same thing about all things in this world, social, ecological, etc. crises and issues...) - actually, one can oppose oneself to it, and want to change it, thus making possible a turn in history (well, of course, not one person alone...), what is what happened throughout history
2) i don't defend a completely virtual-reality-alternative either. you're right when you say most (especially young) people feel Italian in Italy. you're right when you point out the presence of Italian (overwhelming it's true, sadly enough) in cities like Milan - i see it myself, what dya think?) BUT
you're wrong and blind on purpose if you say there are no other languages in Italy, or that they are not used anymore - go to Venice and you'll hear it on the streets, have 10 Italian friends and you'll see that at least 6-7 speak another language, even if they call it dialect (depending on the region, of course, Veneto being especially strong since 9 of 10 people i know from there speak Venetan at home, and it'S even stronger in the south, where most children speak Neapolitan or Sicilian)

last but not least, i don't care whether you have the same opinions, but you changed from supportive when i supported you, to agressively funny about my opinions (since i like humor, and a very black one too - i'm not Californian or German full of taboos that limit my jokes - that was really okay), to overtly opposed to anything i post, even the jokes you then choose to ignore. the same technique like the person i hinted at, so yes, that's more mature than you'll ever be if you stay the way you are.

and your country doesn't have its own language. you speak Serbo-Croatian. i don't see why you should deserve independence, while Genoa, Milan and Veneto do have their own languages!

you don't deserve the work and time involved here. this really isn't the place it was when intelligent people were still around (miss you Anon), or hadn't gotten under the influence of two-three untouchable icons, which is much easier in this rotten society (although she'll keep telling you the opposite) if you're
1) a woman,
2) seemingly fighting for rights people already have (women, blacks, the more trite and common the better)
3) NOT fighting for things that are not yet accepted by the majority, since what you want is to be loved by the majority!!
4) being funny, but not too agressively so, and throwing in a few seemingly nice-and-sunny-California happy things like "i love you all, i love everyone (well, except..)"

you always were polite, which is nice, but never objective whenever SD is concerned. was my calling her "ex-girlfriend" so offensive? are we always walking on fragile glass here and shouldn't allow oneself any joke? as for the comparison i made in strategy, i stand to that part at the time, even if Adidasss deserved better. why should i drop anything first, and not the person you will always side with anyway?
i don't have anything against subjectivity (you know one of my principles is that everything is subjective and that got me trouble already) but a subjectivity you are not aware of is hypocrisy!
