Scatman Crothers never even entered my thought process...interesting choice. The Shining is Nicholson's film and he's pretty much the only thing that comes to mind when I think about...him and Kubrick's direction.

When you say 1988 was a truly awful year, do you mean for supporting actors or for films in general?
