What Is The Next DVD You're Gonna Buy?

Well Of Course When They Come Out, I'll Be Getting 88 Minutes And Speed Racer On The 18th, Then Iron Man And Forgetting Sarah Marshall On The 30th.

But Sometime When I Get Some Extra Money Or On Sale I Plan On Getting

American Beauty
Jarhead
V For Vendetta
Jackie Brown
Saving Private Ryan
Zodiac
Memento
The Prestige
Donnie Darko
The Abyss
Godfather Trilogy
Jaws
Terminator 1 And 2

I have most/maybe all of them. I particularly liked V For Vendetta. I have a serious amount of DVD's and am only slowly making inroads into them.

I like TV series and am currently thinking about buying Smallville season 7. I'd like the Doc Martin's but they are more than I want to pay at present.

I Watched V For Vendetta Years Ago And Was Sorta Confused About It, But Then Again At That Time I Was Also Really Confused About The Matrix (Which Is Now One Of My Favorite Movies), So I'm Gonna Give It Another Try.

I brought
mummpets-treause island
space camp and war games

I plan on buying
ironman
the incrdabile hulk
india jones 4

- Hellbound: Hellraiser II
- Rain Man
- Raising Arizona

What a heartbreaking double pack Iro. Slacker would probably make it onto my top 100. Chasing Amy, on the other hand, is a film that I had to watch 3 times before I made it to the end. Not only did I find it boring, but I really didn't like it either.

Funny, both would make it onto my Top 100, and if I were to make it right now, Chasing Amy would come out on top.

To be fair, the first time I saw Chasing Amy, I hated it and didn't watch it again for a couple of years. When I did, I actually began to appreciate it a whole lot more.

Slacker, however, while I still reckon it's a good film, can be a rather trying movie at times.

By the way, I already own Slacker, I'm just buying this for Chasing Amy.

Did you know the Criterion Collection has a two-disc edition of Slacker? And a two-discer of Linklater's Dazed & Confused, too. And they have a single disc edition of Chasing Amy.

Damn right, I know that. I picked up both Criterion editions of Slacker and Dazed and Confused during my family's holiday to California last December. Criterion DVDs are very hard to come by in Australia, after all.

Besides, I remember not so long ago when buying Chasing Amy on its own would cost about $30 local, whereas this double-pack costs about $20. And I get to keep a R4 copy of Slacker (albeit with absolutely none of the features on the Criterion DVD).

Win-win, it seems.

Projecting the image of success
I buy dvd's impulsively (sp). I plan on ordering Last House On The Left offline soon though.

I'm Probably Getting The 2-Disc Version Of Apocalypse Now And Jarhead On Friday.

Sawman, do you find Audition frightning of scary? I only ask because I didn't, but it's one of those films that people seem to be scared by and I honestly can't see why.

Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.
I don't think that Audition has overly suspenseful scenes, but once you find out what's going on and you put yourself in the victim's position, you should certainly be scared. Helplessness is often the scariest thing in the world, especially when you bring it upon yourself.
