Not even considering the whole "Was it all an opium dream[?]" thing, Lawrence is hands down one of the greatest, if not the greatest, films ever commited to celluloiud, and thusly get's my vote.
As, I can assure, it will get in competition with any other film mentioned in the future of this thread.

I just watched Lawrence of Arabia again last night.

I hate to admit it, but my previous comments were a mistake.

I'd like to change my vote to Lawrence of Arabia even though I do love Once Upon A Time In America.
