Have you seen a UFO?

The lack of government response has been unnerving.
Yes, it is. I heard there's a bill going through congress that will allow local police departments to shoot these things down. I hope it passes soon.

From what I've heard in the news, these drones are as loud as a Harley. I doubt a battery operated motor would make that much noise.
Most drones are noisy. Why would some world power send such a noisy device in the middle of the night? Could be a test of some kind. I doubt it.

I'm hoping it's just some prankster, or some hobbyist who doesn't watch the news. What ever they are, I hope they get shot down.

Please tell me you're kidding. What if they are small single engine planes? Do you want those shot down? What about commercial drones doing mapping and legal actives do you want those shot down? Or what about hobbyist drones should we shoot those down so that they crash into someone's house perhaps injuring or killing them?...Remember there has been over 3000 reports of 'mysterious' lights in the sky, think about how many of those are planes or helicopters.

It's ironic this is in New Jersey the same place that panicked after Orson Welles did his Halloween radio cast of War of the Worlds.

Excerpt:

Authorities did confirm that the drones are not coming from local military bases.

The mystery of the unidentified drones deepened Tuesday, as federal officials admitted during a congressional hearing that despite repeated assurances from Gov. Murphy and other public officials, they can’t say definitively whether the drones pose a threat.

“There is nothing known that would lead me to say that but we just don’t know and that’s the concerning part,” Robert Wheeler, assistant FBI director, said during the congressional hearing.

Smith, R-N.J., said during the hearing, and in an interview on Fox News, that he went drone-hunting at Island Beach State Park on Monday with Ocean County Sheriff Michael Mastronardy. He said they went to that beach because the night before, a law enforcement officer had counted 50 drones coming in from the ocean onto land.

In addition, he said that he was told by a Coast Guard official that one of their 47-foot ships in the ocean was trailed by 12 to 30 drones.

“I think this is a very serious threat,” Smith said.

During the congressional hearing, Wheeler said that the FBI doesn’t know the people responsible for the drones that have blanketed New Jersey in recent weeks.

Wheeler said that based on verified eyewitness reports, some of the drones are larger than commercial drones, and are both rotary and fixed-wing craft.

He added that when he asked officials at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst why they couldn’t shoot down the drones, he was told they don’t have the authority to do so. Smith urged officials at the hearing to grant military authorization to shoot down the drones so that their identity and capability could be ascertained.

Trouble with a capitial 'T'
As I've suggested about people's over reaction to the mysterious "drones".
BTW the below link is well worth reading.

Psychology Today article:
Mysterious aerial lights—seemingly under intelligent control—are spotted above New Jersey and adjacent Delaware, sometimes over sensitive military installations. Some express fear that it may be a foreign adversary carrying out reconnaissance missions. The current drone scare?
No, the northeastern United States over 100 years ago.

Back then, the sightings of mysterious aerial objects coincided with World War I and "the German Scare." Most of the sightings turned out to be misidentifications of known astronomical bodies, such as Venus. Others were fire balloons, which consisted of paper balloons with candles attached near the mouth and were made buoyant by the generation of heat.

...psychologists know that human perception is notoriously unreliable and subject to error. There is also a tendency for observers to project their beliefs and fears onto ambiguous stimuli.

A frustrated Gov. Kathy Hochul has called for federal assistance after the latest drone sighting temporarily shut down an airport Friday night, the latest in a series of mysterious occurrences taking place across the country.

Officials at Stewart International Airport, located roughly 60 miles north of New York City, said they shut down their runways for an hour after the Federal Aviation Administration alerted them that a drone was spotted in the area around 9:30 p.m.

Good one! I used to work in Plainsboro and sometimes when the weather was nice I'd take my lunch in a little park in nearby Grover's Mill where they have a monument to Orson Welles' radio show.

I told my friend's wife about the monument and she didn't believe me - so she bet me there was no monument to the sci-fi radio show. I don't recall what the stakes were (if any), but I ended up taking both her and my friend to the park to prove to them the monument existed.

She claimed I lost the bet. I asked "how?" since we were now standing looking at the monument. She said, "that's not a monument - it's just a big piece of concrete with a plaque attached." I asked her what she was expecting - she said something like the Washington monument in DC. (She reneged on the bet because she didn't know what the definition of a monument is!)

I saw something very weird in the sky, but I can’t really say what it actually was. I’m glad my friend saw it too because otherwise, I’d be worried I was having hallucinations.

No, or I don't think so. But I so want to see one upclose and talk or communicate with an alien. I've been interested in UFOs, the paranormal, conspiracy theories, etc for quite a long time. Not that I believe everything I come across, but it's a subject that fascinates me overall.

I'd give her a HA! and a HI-YA! Then I'd kick her.

What if they're not? What if there is somebody spying on us, and trying to get information that they can use against us?

It may sound crazy, but before 9/11, we never thought that anything like that could happen in our country. There were signs that were ignored before 9/11, and thousands of innocent people died, and countless more were injured because the people who had the chance to stop it from happening just ignored the signs.

Whether we like it or not, there are people out there who hate the U.S., and they're looking for ways to hurt us.

Very true. Personally I think drones of a certain size that don't have a registered flight plan should be shot down to hopefully find out who sent them and what info, if any, they're collecting. I don't trust what the government is currently telling us. There should be more laws governing the operation of drones, both commercial and hobby drones.
