I watched Empire last night, and it reaffirmed my vote 100%.
Luke and Yoda's first meeting is ****ing hilarious. "Away, put your weapon! I mean you no harm!" as he proceeds to rummage through all of Luke's scarce belongings in search of a frickin' toy to play around with.
And yet when Yoda reveals himself to be, well, Yoda, I buy it immediately. I can see why some people might find the Dagobah scenes boring, but I think it contains some of the most compelling dialogue in the entire series. When I was young, it was easy to buy into Yoda's teachings because I was impressionable and entirely enthralled. Now that I'm older, the gift of perspective and experience makes Yoda's teachings (and Luke's complaints/revelations) resonate that much more.
