Jesus, a Belgian cyclist died yesterday due to a crash in the Giro. During a downhill, he hit a wall with his pedal, made a somersault and landed on his head. He suffered a fractured skull and died almost instantly. You would think that in this day and age, especially in such mainstream sports, people just don't run the risk of dying anymore. It's sad to see that there is always a chance, even the slightest of chances, that one can still die when exercising one's sport as a professional.

Life can be over in a fraction of a second. It's tragic moments like these that make me realize I have to make the most of it while I'm here. We all have to.
