White oleander

White Oleander chronicles the story of Astrid (Alison Lohman), a young teenager who journeys through a series of foster homes after her mother (Michelle Pfeiffer) goes to prison for committing a crime of passion. This character-based drama focuses on Astrid's struggle to become her own person while coming to terms with her highly seductive yet destructive mother. Renee Zellweger ("Bridget Jones's Diary") and Robin Wright Penn ("The Pledge") play two of the foster mothers who take Astrid in. The film is based on the best-selling novel by Janet Fitch.

i think it looks really good. like one of those films that makes you cry and laugh and happy all at the same time.

i hope it is as powerful as the trailer. it makes me wanna cry just watching it. lol. i think its the combination of them playing my favourite sheryl crow song (which is emotionly powerful to me) and the fact that michelle pfeiffer crys in it. i feel her pain lol
