Best Bond Actor?

Radioactive Spider Blood
Who's your favorite:

Sean Connery
Roger Moore
Timothy Dalton
Pierce Brosnan

I haven't seen all of the movies but I think Brosnan portrays him very well. Connery's great too, and they both have British accents.

AAAGGGHHHHH!!!

Ok here we go, Sean Connery is the one and ONLY Bond (sorry guys) The rest were all poor second and third class copies, and the movies started becoming more of an action farce rather than an adventure romance kind of thing...

Connery was excellent, but I've been warming to Brosnan recently... :/

Connery is my favorite, too. I think that Brosnan does a good job, too, though. Actually, Timothy Dalton was a good Bond, too, the movies he did just weren't all that well written. Given better scripts, he'd have been more popular. (It's sort of good for Brosnan that he couldn't do Bond in the mid-80s or he'd have made those two movies instead of Dalton).

Even Lazenby's On Her Majesty's Secret Service performance was not at all bad. It's just that coming right after (and right before, as it turned out) the original made it impossible for him to really be successful in the role.

To me, Roger Moore was the worst Bond. His Bond is almost too cartoony for my tastes. I don't hate his performances, but he's my least favorite of all the Bonds.

Sean Connery is the only Bond, accept no substitutes. Cold Blooded & incharge of every situation. Remington Steele doesnt even hold a candle to him.
I pray that an unknown actor is cast as James Bond next time around & he is not played as a politically correct pansy. Sorry if I offend but I cant watch Bond films after For Your Eyes Only on repeat viewings without cringing.

Brosnan all the way ........I do agree that sean is a good bond to but I think Brosnan is the best....

Brosnan was OK, but I'd have to agree with Ryan, Moore as Bond was just plain and simply becoming comic!! I mean, "Moonraker"?!?! Astronauts on the moon with lasers from their shoulders?? Gimme a break...!

i liked connery and bronsnan. connery was a better a ctor but bronsnon painted a more 'fun' picture of bond, the movies with him in were more exciting.

I created this poll on another forum some time ago. Of course I expected Sean Connery to "win", but I'm a little surprised that Roger Moore didn't get a single vote.

Sorry about the low quality screen capture - I hope it's readable.

Good whiskey make jackrabbit slap de bear.
Dalton. Despite my dislike of The Living Daylights, one of his only two Bond outings, he's a far more intense and influential Bond to today's rethinking, with Casino Royale and the like.

Dalton, by far. Connery is actually my least favorite (excluding Lazenby as I've never seen the whole film of OHMSS)

Precious tritium is what makes this project go.
Brosnan wins hands down for me.

Mr. Kil: I'm mr. Kil.
Bond: That's a name to die for.

Timothy Dalton has always and always will be my favourite James Bond, Daniel Craig comes a close second. The others I enjoy watching but not up there for me like Dalton and Craig, plus they are the most gorgeous Bonds ever too.

I haven't read the books, but I've been told by fans of the Fleming books that Dalton and Craig's portrayal of Bond comes the closest to how Bond was in the original books, darker Bond and so on.

Indeed, the Bond in Ian Fleming's novels is really a suave, cool, but cold and calculated, methodical spy. You guys remember that scene from Goldeneye where Sean Bean's character says Bond always chooses the girl over the mission? Fleming's Bond would pick the mission in a heartbeat; would probably even shoot the guy while uttering that sentence.

Connery, Dalton and Craig managed to capture that spirit the best. I still think Connery did the best job, but Craig is close behind. Moore was a disgrace and Brosnan was meh.
