The Triple Agent in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull!

Was there a cooler character in cinema over the last 20 years than the triple agent in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? He was just a total badass switching sides throughout the movie and getting his way all the time. It also made Indy look like an idiot that he kept trusting him, but it made Mac an even cooler character.

Captain Jack Sparrow is basically Mac but if he was likeable, pretty sure Bruce Wayne (in its many iterations) is also a cooler character, as well as the villains found in the Batman movies in the last 20 years. Some would say Ethan Hunt is a cooler character in the ways he manipulates people and gets away with what he wants. Anton Chigurh, Rama from The Raid movies, Col. Hans Landa, Django from Django Unchained, Hutch Mansell...there are just too many

I couldn't stand Mac. Him constantly switching sides made him a confusing character rather than a cool one. His motivations weren't clear enough for it to feel convincing. Plus making Indiana look too much like an idiot isn't exactly the ideal scenario.
