There was apparently a movie that came out in low budget and was exactly like scream, but taking place in a cabin in the woods (i think) but it definatly had the same Jamie Kennedy character in it, does any one know the title?

I'm pretty sure you are talking about There's Nothing Out There (1991).The concept is very similar to Scream complete with a Jamie Kennedy-like character who spouts rules on how to survive a horror movie except it features a monster from outer space instead of a psychopathic slasher.
