The thing isolated becomes incomprehensible

Yesterday, the oldest director in activity died. He was 106 years and he was making films since 1931.
He never stop working in spite of living in a country where the Government doesn't care at all for cinema and where the average attendance to national films premieres is of 6... Not 6 hundred, not 6 dozens... 6 people.

He was a symbol of Portuguese cinema, art and culture and a personal hero for every artist in the country.

Thanks for everything Manoel.

R.I.P.

It's too late to apologize. It's too laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate.
