Best free editing software?

Does anyone know what the best free editing software is for windows?

Windows movie maker works pretty well-- there are alot of add-ons you can get. For a cheap price, you can get Adobe Premiere Elements which is pretty good.

Windows movie maker is pretty bare bones, but for cuts and simple transitions, it works alright.

I recently edited a wedding using Movie Maker and the recipients were pretty happy with it.

Unfortuantley any "free" editing software is going to seem too good to be true, either they will make you pay after downloand to do anything or it will be chalk full of water marks that it won't even be worth it.

I would suggjest looking at some express packages of reputable editing software like Adobe.

Sony Vegas is the best, and it's free if you know were to get it.

have you tried pinnacle studios yet?

Lightworks. Not quite as good as Sony Vegas, and the free version restricts what types of files you can edit, but it's a far, far better editor than you've got any right to expect for free. I would post a link, but I don't have enough posts. If you google the name, you'll find the site.

No I'm using something called videopad video editor. it's pretty good.
