Marijuana: Do you do it?

Well, I was talking more like primary school age kids... Once my kids hit teen years, they always had the option of going to a public or private school if they wanted to. Heck, as I said, we gave Yoda that option in sixth grade and beyond (age 11), but he wasn't interested.

I reeeeeally dislike the naive assumption that homeschooled kids never leave the house.

Yoda -- step in here, please! Tell them we let you leave the house once in a while.

Well, primary school isn't high school, is it? I'm English so I don't know how you guys do it. Primary school here was, like, 6-10. I doubt 80% of 6-10 year-olds cheese it every afternoon. I don't know, though. I don't have any stats!

I didn't say homeschool kids didn't leave the house. I was just making a weak 'why don't you shield them from everything' link. I was homeschooled a bit, but it was for different reasons than Yoda was, I suspect.

I tried it once at a party my Senior Year in high school and after about two puffs I thought it was disgusting and knew it was not for me. So that was my only and ever experience with it.

Weed is always disgusting when you first inhale. My first taste was in Brighton. We sat in a bus station. I didn't know how to smoke and I sucked in for about ten seconds before I coughed all the smoke out of my holes and looked like an idiot. And then we went to the cinema to see Ice Age 2. Man. Weed did not improve it.

If the only thing stoping you, is because it is illegal, try it any way. Its hardly a crime in most countries any way.

you seriouse? The first time i tried it, the first two puffs didn't even go into my lungs and the third time i got it into my lungs but coffed out loudly. the same applys with cigaretts.

Lol, yes really. And every time I blaze now, the first puff is the best. You really get hit with it then, it simultaneously relaxes you completely and makes you feel kind of like a live wire. And you just chill.

Does this make sense?

Tobaco (cigaretes) have been proven to kill people as there are hundreds of side effects of it, that are proven to kill. Yet, it is still legal.

Marijuana on the other hand, has not been proven at all to kill and the only thing that has been said that it does that is bad, is that there is a "thoery" that it "might" give people schizofrina after years and years of smoking it non-stop. That's it, thats the only bad thing it "might" do to you. But for some reason, it is illegal to smoke it.

I have no problem with smokers as it is there option weather they want to smoke or not, but i have a problem with the law.

If people can legally smoke a substance that there is a high chance of the patron dieing if he/she chooses to smoke it, but at the same time a harmless herb, that has not been proven to have any dangers at all, is illegal to smoke, then there is something wrong with our legal system.

You're right, of course, King. Weed is scientifically less harmful than tobacco and alcohol yet they're both legal and cannabis is viewed as some hyper-mega drug that. It's totally absurd, and it doesn't make any sense.

The first puff when you blaze up is good, but for the very first time - and a few times after that - I barely felt anything at all. Luckily I stuck at it!

Weed most likely will not kill you but I know a lot of people who smoke and don't smoke and what i realized is weed affects people differently. Me personally I don't enjoy drinking, cigarettes, coffee etc. because I don't like how I feel on them but I love weed. It has a very calming affect on me and sometimes after a long day of classes Its great to sit back spark a joint with you're buddies and chill.

On the other hand I have seen weed affect people in terrible ways. I have friends who started weed around the same time as me and now fast forward two years later some of the idiots became users for heavy drugs or are even incarcerated for selling weed.

You can say what you want about marijuana but the fact is nothing is set in stone. If weed makes you paranoid then it is probably not for you and if its not then you don't smoke it simple as that. People all react differently, people aren't right or wrong for smoking it and the worst thing to do is think you are better than your fellow man because you have a different opinion than them.

I am of course talking about it not being morally right or wrong. In terms of the law yes it is wrong but who's to say the law is always right.

I understand the point of a debate but parts of this thread turned from debate to people telling people how to live their lives.

well, i am glad someone finally said that. but i don't think most people that are against weed in this thread feel like that, except for John McClane, which i do find pretty hypocritical, considering his stance on God and abortion.

Cigars are just as natural as marijuana.

I don't know about cigars, but if you mean cigarettes, then you are wrong. Cigies have hundreds of unnatural chemicals in them.
