Gangs of New York has a very good oldschool style. Look for the keyword "bootlegger", since that was very popular during that time - Gatsby is suspected to be one.

Money, money. It's a shame, but sometimes it can be very interesting (like in theater) to see multiple interpretations of stories and their characters.

Yes, the movie is brutally dramatic and has absolutely stunning actors. The story stretches a bit, but the few jokes in the Wrestler are really well placed.
