Re: The MoFo Top 100 of the 2000s Countdown
Fairly close!
I don't hold Batman Begins in such high esteem, but our tastes are fairly similar. |
With Talk to Her in and Master and Commander out, I sit at 82/100.
And here's my updated list of films I haven't seen ranked by "interest"...

I've seen 91 of the 100. 17 of the films from my list made it.

Re: The MoFo Top 100 of the 2000s Countdown
I only saw 30 movies on this list.
I had 20 out of 25 movies on my ballot plus a one pointer (Reefer Madness) I need to start watching movies that have been released more recently. |

Of those on your want to see list, I can recommend Sideways. The book is also good and adds some additional laughs as well.

Okay, I think this should be up. Lemme know ASAP if you notice something out of whack (more likely than usual because of the way I parsed this one/changes/tiebreakers):

omg whoever placed Escaflowne and Casshern on their list (and I have to assume it's the same person!), you might be my bff now. i forgot about both of those flicks. Escaflowne, if I remember, seemed like it didn't know where to go but I loved it.
That reminds me of Kai Doh Maru (2001/2003). I landed on these three about the same time and had no context to their release dates way back then, but own two of three on DVD. I loaned out Kai Doh Maru because I wanted to share its creepy minimal beauty, but the friend never returned the disc. I kept telling myself it's ok. Just spreading the gospel, so to speak. After all, I could just order a new one! Now some near twenty years later I still don't have it. Man. I'm glad to have noticed that on the spreadsheet. Thanks! |

Re: The MoFo Top 100 of the 2000s Countdown
I ended at 65/100. I'll watch Pirates next probably. Think I've "seen" it but won't count it because I really don't remember it

Thanks. I'm interested in all of them, so I'm sure I'll get to all of them at some point. Even though I'm not into wine at all, what draws me to this one is the cast and crew. I always like Paul Giamatti and Thomas Haden Church, and Alexander Payne is usually interesting, so yeah.
