   Doubt it, he was homeless not long before Neds. It was actually his younger sister (who was also in the film) who convinced him to try out for it. Haven't seen either of them for years, but i doubt Joe actually pursued it as a career.
   
   His sister was one of the girls (blonde) in the scene, before the main character drops the slab on the guys head.
