I was actually first chair in a large high school band In Rockford Illinois back in the early eighties... I think??? Junior year.... Anyway I did not stink, but I was very hungry because I had not eaten all day and I had a solo near the end of the 3rd song. Well between the 2nd song and the solo I scarfed a ham sandwhich I had in my pocket. Made me play all the better, all though cleaning my spit tube was a pain the next day.:) :D
