I'm gonna vote metropolis.

Let me make a suggestion here. Since movies are often only as good as the time they're made in and movies can be the best in a certain aspect, i propose a different kind of vote. This was a good shot but it's far too rediculous to successfully execute for many reasons. Here's what i would do host. I would do this myself but i Haven't the pictures nor know how to post them to open my own and i think this is more up your alley anyway. You should have contenders for every genere of movies. And i don't necessarily mean drama, action, sci-fi. You could do one that just relies on the one part of the film it was trying to do the best in all generes. Example: The Best acting performance in a sci-fi vrs. the best story line movie in Sci-Fi vs. The best effects for a sci-fi (must be groundbreaking and significant for the time) vs. The best character in a sci-fi. The winners of all these different aspects would compete for the title of the best all around sci-fi movie in the genere.
You can do this for all the generes adding a couple different aspects depending upon the genere and after the votes have decided which are all the best movies in their genere, you can then finally vote and pick the winner for the title of the best movie of all time. That's the way i would do it. It's much fairer and more structured. Also, a little bias sway isn't a bad thing because sometimes the voters really aren't there so sometimes it's just best to pick the one that should win, listening to the voters ofcourse. Ofcourse, you can't do that for the final round.

That's my two cents.

Actually, genius, what I was getting at is that if you haven't seen both movies, you shouldn't be voting in that round. So no, while you did not say you "could" in so many of your well-chosen uncapitalized words, by voting against it you implied you had indeed seen The Graduate and yet prefer Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Truth is, you haven't seen The Graduate, have no intention of seeing The Graduate, and therefore you shouldn't have voted last round. Ok that i do concede... i probably shouldn't have your right, but consider that as i said i am not a fan of Dustin Hoffman and due to this i am not likely to enjoy the film simply for the fact that he stars in it. Not something to be proud of but still that is the way i feel about the guy. I know for a fact that i enjoyed Monty Python and even if i had not seen that i would still vote for it on the principle that i have enjoyed other Monty Python movies and disliked other Dustin Hofman movies which i have seen. and therefore would assume that these two movies would be no different.

Maybe if it makes that much of a difference to you, Poeman could go back take off my vote for that round. Then again we could just get on with the next round.
