Since a lot of members are sharing their favourite films I figured I could share mine as well. I hope you gonna enjoy it . I'll do some small reviews since I'm not perfectly billingual...

50. Primal Fear (1996)
Gregory Hoblit
http://33.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lrpk4pikOj1qkqis8o1_500.gif
''Hey you look at me when I'm talkin' to you, bitch!''

- God I Love this movie ! The acting is so great , the directing is awesome and the storyline is simple but incredibly effective. The courtroom scenes are really well made and The Plot/Twist ending is unpredictable and very well done in my opinion. Edward Norton completely steal the show.

More To Come !

49. Zodiac (2007)
David Fincher
http://www.loqueyotediga.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ColeccionableDavidFincherZodiac13.png
He claims he killed thirteen people, but which ones can we actually confirm? There's three in Vallejo, one in Berryessa, the cabbie, that's it.

- One of my favorite serial killer movie of all-time. This movie is very slow but so perfect in all aspects ... The casting is amazing (especially from Gyllenhaal and Downey Jr.) , the storyline is slow but very realistic and captivating and The directing From Fincher is very good like usual. The ending is mysterious but it's perfect in my opinion .... after all it's based on a true story..

I love Primal Fear and even had it on my 90's list.

I wasn't crazy about Zodiac the one time I saw it but always thought it was either because of my mood or attention span that night. It's one that I've been meaning to see again.

Loved Primal Fear...brilliant performance by Edward Norton and Richard Gere has rarely been better. Zodiac is overlong but is worth seeing, another great Robert Downey Jr. performance.

Tomas Alfredson
http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/45644000/gif/_45644425_eli466b.gif
''I'm 12. But I've been twelve for a long time''

-Another awesome flick that I really appreciate. Certainly one of the best vampire movie ever made... The relationship between Oskar and Eli during all the 115min of the movie is purely beautiful and the ending is one of the best i've seen in the 2000's. The acting of the two young swedish actors is very powerful and amazing. I also love the directing from Alfredson for a vampire movie it's really well done .

47. The Thing (1982)
John Carpenter
http://noffload.net/uploader/files/1/monster%20movie%20marathon/thing3.jpg
''I know I'm human. And if you were all these things, then you'd just attack me right now, so some of you are still human. This thing doesn't want to show itself, it wants to hide inside an imitation''

- One of the best and most influencial horror movie of all time by the master John Carpenter. A perfect combination of incredible make-up effects and sci-fi horror that I highly appreciate. The best performance by Kurt Russell in my opinion and incredible directing. The ending is awesome and for me it's one of the best horror movie of all-time.

Great stuff so far Derek :). In all honesty i'm not much a fan of Primal Fear, but you deserved a +1 for it because you've described your feelings of it so well in another langauge. Jesus i barely know English, this would be me attempting to speak to you in French :p (and i know some French). Also the worst episode of Friends ever :D.

Derek, well said review on The Thing. I agree with all four of your points, especially about the ending. Had Hollywood done the 'usual ending', the film would have been weaker.

A good part of the suspense/terror was not knowing who is or isn't human......I love the scene where the scientist are tied to chairs as a blood test is done to reveal the alien....The way the actors react when the alien finally reveals itself, AND the humans are helpless tied to chairs right next to the beast!

Spike Lee
http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab198/smalltimeinc/library_gifs_3/25th_hour_gif_11_01_11.gif
''I need you to make me ugly''

- Simply a beautiful movie surround by powerful performances from Norton , Pepper and Seymour Hoffman. Many memorables scenes in this flick especially the 4min monologue by Ed Norton which is also one of my favorite scene of all-time. The ending is one of the best i've seen so far ... very touching and completely marvelous.

Let the Right One In is so atmospheric and moody. To me that's exactly how vampire movies should be.

45. Apocalypse Now (1979)
Francis Coppola
http://i.imgur.com/AggNclq.gif
''I love the smell of napalm in the morning''

- Certainly one of the most incredible and influential war movie of all-time. The acting and the directing are completely amazing for a movie of the 70's and the cinematography is absolutely beautiful and shocking. Brando and Sheen are astounding and the ending is perfect (The Doors too :D).

44. Halloween (1978)
John Carpenter
http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ly65fifCZK1qd8nujo1_500.gif
'' I watched him for fifteen years, sitting in a room staring at a wall, not seeing the wall, looking past the wall, looking at this night, inhumanly patient, waiting for some secret, silent alarm to trigger him off. Death has come to your little town, Sheriff. You can either ignore it or you can help me to stop it.''

- One of my favorite Psycho-Stabber horror movie . This movie is another great influential horror film that I highly appreciate! Micheal Myers is the creepiest horror vilain of all-time without a doubt and Jamie Lee Curtis give one hell of a solid performance as her little innocent sister. The storyline is simple but incredibly scary and effective. This is the best movie from John Carpenter in my opinion and to date one of the most terrifying movie ever made.

''Let me tell you something. There's no nobility in poverty. I've been a poor man, and I've been a rich man. And I choose rich every f*cking time''

- One of the best and funniest movie i've ever seen. The storyline is amazing and got so many memorable scenes . The acting is more than perfect and this is the best performance by Leonardo DiCaprio in my opinion. We saw the real side of Wall Street in this movie and it's entertaining as hell. Jonathan Demme
http://www.admitonedrinkinggames.com/wp-content/uploads/Silence-of-the-Lambs-Drinking-Game.gif
''It excites him. Most serial killers keep some sort of trophies from their victims''

- One of the most impressive crime-drama movie of all time and also one of the best movie from the 90's. Anthony Hopkins is incredible as Dr.Hannibal Lecter , Ted Levine is so freaking hilarious as ''Buffalo Bill'' and Jodie Foster is good as ''Clarice Starling''. The storyline is perfect surrounded by many memorable scenes and the ending is very good for this kind of movie. Definitely , an instant-classic.

- This movie is a blast and another masterpiece by The Cohen Brothers. The storyline is absolutely perfect with many great characters and amazing scenes. The mood during all the 122min is also a very good factor for my appreciaton, I find it very calm and slow but incredible impressive and effective. Martin Scorsese

''which would be worse to live as a monster or die as a good man?''

- Another Martin Scorsese movie that I highly appreciate, I very like the mood and the atmosphere of this movie.... it's calm and silent but very captivating like many ''Scorsese'' movie. DiCaprio is once again more than excellent in this thriller and Ruffalo play very well his assistant. The storyline is great and the plot/twist at the end is unpredictable and well crafted.

I'm not exactly sure, No Country is the sort of movie i'd love. I've watched it twice and the first time it just didn't do anything for me, the second time i was bored out of my skull and nearly switched it off half way through. The middle one is certainly less so, but I don't know what else to call a multimillion dollar Hollywood production starring Richard Gere and complete with an Oscar nomination but mainstream, nimo. Though that's not important anyways, I've got the feeling I'm on somebody's ignore list anyways

''You can't change who people are without destroying who they were''

-One of the most underrated flick of all-time in my opinion. This movie is incredibly well crafted and directed , the storyline is completely awesome and the ending is perfect. This is also the best performance from Ashton Kutcher to date in my opinion and Amy Smart is very good too. A great ''underdog'' movie that I really appreciate with many very good scenes and characters.

''I hope that when the world comes to an end, I can breathe a sigh of relief, because there will be so much to look forward to''

- I rewatched it yesterday actually for my top 50 because it was near to do it and I came to the conclusion that this movie is a complete masterpiece no doubt about it. One of the most bizarre and brilliant movie that i've ever seen. The best movie of Jake Gyllenhaal career for sure and one of the best movie of the 2000's. The atmosphere and the mood of this movie is just perfect and the ending is very touching and beautiful. Definitely, a one of a kind instant classic.

- The Best movie from The Cohen Brothers in my opinion and it's actually a masterpiece of his kind. I absolutely love the characters in this flick , Jeff Bridges as ''The Dude'' is completely hilarious and awesome , John Goodman and Julianne Moore are also excellent and funny as hell. The Storyline is very good and got many memorable scenes. The ''Break the 4th Wall'' ending is also great and very ingenious. The Atmosphere of the movie is also a very good factor for this kind of flick that I highly appreciate.

I have mixed feelings on him as an actor. I think he's likable but he always plays a loudmouth character who draws attention to himself, so of course he's going to stand out. And I think the character of Walter is this at it's peak. I also think Walter is the least original character in the movie, you know the crazy veteran, and it seems to me that they're reaching for laughs with him.

I'm guessing that everybody here already knows this but I'm going to say it anyway. Walter is somewhat based on the writer/director John Milius.

I agree with that; I thought he was outstanding on that show. It seems like he's incredibly typecast in film though. Maybe it's his size, idk, but I certainly don't dislike him. I just thought he was perhaps the weakest character in a film full of great characters. I probably misspoke when I said I didn't like him in Lebowski; I really mean that I didn't care for the over the top character.

36. The Fighter (2010)
David O. Russell
http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m91wmxVo5y1qffe9jo1_500.gif
''And Micky's uh...you know a very heavy hitter. He's got thu...thunderous, I'm tellin' you, thunderous left punch. Micky, he like...he...he get's in and takes the punishment. I don't know why he does it. He goes right ****in' in there''

- This is the best movie from David O. Russell in my opinion and my favorite Boxing movie. The storyline is pretty awesome and the story of ''Micky Ward'' and his run to the top is amazing. The film is also surround by many great performances especially by Christian Bale as the ''Crack addict'' ex-champion brother of Mark Wahlberg who's by the way is also very good as ''Micky Ward'' and Amy Adams is once again more than good as the girlfriend of Micky. The ending is a little bit cliche like every boxing movie but very nice.

''Mostly, I'm tired of people being ugly to each other. I'm tired of all the pain I feel and hear in the world every day. There's too much of it — it's like pieces of glass in my head, all the time. Can you understand?''

- An important movie of my childhood. I love it with all of my heart and each times I see it I cry during 10min. Very cheesy movie but so effective on the emotional plan. The Casting is awesome especially from the late Micheal Clarke Duncan who give's the best performance of his career. Irvin Kershner
http://electricsheep.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/lightsabres.gif
''Your destiny lies with me, Skywalker. Obi-Wan knew this to be true''

- From what I remember I always love Star Wars since my Chilhood when my father initiate me to these classics and I like all of them but for me The Empire Strikes Back is the best between all of the six. More action and Dialogues , great confrontations and The training of Luke with Master Yoda is very awesome in my opinion and it's fun to look it. Mark Hamill , Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher are astounding in their respective roles of savior of the galaxy. The Ending is great , it's always nice to see the vilain winning at the end of a movie in my opinion and this is the perfect representation.

The relationship between Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman) and Alfred Bolden (Christian Bale) is very well developped and original. It really is a great film with great performances, particularly from Bale and Jackman, love how they try to outdo one another. It thrilled me during the whole movie and Ryan Reynolds performance is just amazing and powerful, I trully think that he is a talented actor that never had a chance to show it to the world and in this movie he proves everybody wrong. 28. Inception (2010)
Christopher Nolan
http://37.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m3s50eMRkC1rs4lu6o1_500.gif
''Dreams feel real while we're in them. It's only when we wake up that we realize something was actually strange''

- A masterpiece by the great Christopher Nolan (Haters gonna hate). This movie is an incredible accomplishment and one of the most impressive visual beauty of all-time. It's also one of the best film of the decade so far... Leonardo DiCaprio is astounding once again as Cobb the dream extractor and Gordon-Levitt is pretty good as the partner of Cobb. This film has also one of the best cinematography of the decade it's absolutely amazing and Marion Cotillard is gorgeous like usual. The ending is perfect and the mood of the movie is a very good factor for my appreciation.

I quite liked Inception, however, with the exception of one scene (Cotillard and diCaprio) at the end, I thought acting was almost non-existent. Well, good/stand out acting, anyway. It's not that anyone was bad, it's just that level of acting wasn't necessary.

I was obsessed with Inception when it came out. I saw it five times in it's opening week. I have problems with it now, I think it's a little too self-serious and I hate that a supposedly intelligent blockbuster spouts the "10 percent of our brain" myth, but overall I still think it's very good.

Edward Zwick
http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lyj4fpPxHU1rnbkxho1_500.gif
''Sometimes I wonder... will God ever forgive us for what we've done to each other ?''

- Another flick with DiCaprio in it but this one is the best movie with him in the principal role in my opinion. One of the most realistic and shocking masterpiece of the 2000's and this film also show the atrocities of the war in Africa because of the rebel and of the Child Soldiers. The Storyline is very awesome and the action scenes are absolutely stunning. Hounsou and Connelly are also pretty good. The Ending is shocking but so well executed and beautiful, Leonardo know how to do it well .

''You see, there are still faint glimmers of civilization left in this barbaric slaughterhouse that was once known as humanity. Indeed that's what we provide in our own modest, humble, insignificant... oh, f*ck it''

- Beautiful , Astounding and Impressive movie from Wes Anderson. One of the movie with the best visual and cinematography of all-time without a doubt. The Casting is more than excellent with names like Ralph Fiennes , Edward Norton , Adrien Brody , Harvey Keitel ,etc. The Storyline is very entertaining and seizing as hell. 25. Se7en (1995)
David Fincher
http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ma1ok4JNKq1rrjbbfo1_500.gif
''It's disturbing how easily a member of the press can pay for information from men in your precinct. I visited your home this morning, after you'd left. I tried to play husband. I tried to taste the life of a simple man. It didn't work out, so I took a souvenir...her pretty head''

- A masterpiece by one of my favorite Director of all time: David Fincher. This movie is brilliant and super effective, and it's one of the best thriller-crime ever made. Pitt , Freeman and Spacey are perfect and John Doe is an awesome creepy psycho character. The storyline is simple but very fluid and the ending is great and completely astounding. Kevin Spacey deserved to be called the vilain master.

''No. Listen, you sick f*ck, you pathetic, lonely, walkie-talkie, freak show motherf*cker. You're not getting anything from me. Know why? Because I have something that's more powerful then your psychosis. It's called a volume knob, and the only thing I have to do to make you go away is to turn it counterclockwise. You got that? You copy that? ''

- The best horror low-budget movie of all time in my opinion. All the characters of this movie are great and memorable, Steve Zahn as the rebellious older brother , Paul Walker as the calm and suggestible young brother and Rusty Nail as the psychotic truck killer that is otherwise one of my favorite vilain in a movie. The storyline is simple , effective and so dam*n captivating. The ending is the conlusion of a work of art by director John Dahl. Highly underrated.

Rutger Hauer give here his best performance in his career and there's no doubt about it , Sean Young and Harrison Ford are more than excellent too. But if, you know, if going to Ramelle, and finding him so he can go home, if that earns me the right to get back to my wife, well then, then that's my mission.''

- One of the most shocking , brutal , realist and astounding war movie of all-time from the master Steven Spielberg. Incredible accomplishment for a movie from te 90's. I've seen Into the Wild a couple of times and also read the book. He's an interesting person to try to figure out. I've met a lot of traveling people like him in my life. People that have no interest in living a "normal" life and travel here and there depending on what Rainbow Gathering is happening and if it's time to go work the beat farms or the more adventurous ones might find work on the boats in Alaska. Some had some pretty quirky notions about life, but that was the thing too ; being quirky and weird isn't just tolerated but celebrated. There is a certain type of freedom that lifestyle offers in a lot of different ways . I have a friend that is covered head to toe including his face with tattoos and goes where the wind blows. He does exactly what he wants when he wants.

I guess my point is that I have had some contact with the Chris McCandless types and have even spent a bit of time traveling around where the wind blew me and even jumped a train or two, so his ideals aren't that much of a foreign concept to me. Most of the kids I met were also middle to upper middle class kids who just felt too confined by the college work marriage death life set out before them. It was a tempting lifestyle in a lot of ways but I craved stability. I didn't like being hungry. I like having my bank account and knowing where I will sleep every night. I am a sell-out. :D I won't go to far into it, but it's also a very hypocritical lifestyle in a lot of ways.

Knowing what I know, I thought the movie did a good job of capturing all that. I know some people were furious at McCandless for hurting his parents and considered him completely selfish. It is a selfish way to live in some regards. They are people who will share whatever they have with whoever is around them, but in the end they do what they want when they want and they are beholden to no one. I just don't know that I see anything wrong with that. It was really interesting to me how upset this movie made a lot of people.

Anyway, it's a good pick and I'm glad you liked it.

like both but prefer The Good, The Bad and The Ugly btw Once Upon a Time In The West is in my Top 100 :p
