What is this movie called?

Hello I saw this movie about 7 years ago on UK TV.

It was a film about a sort of alien family who had moved into the English suburbs and were trying to fit in with the english people, they looked like normal people. It had a sort of beetlejuice theme to it.

The most memorable parts of the movie to me were:

The alien wife would say "Would you like any pineapple chunks?!"
Also the husband made a Tongue sandwich !


I honestly cant remember much more, but if you have seen it you will remember straight away from those 2 points I mentioned.

Really hope someone can help. Been googling on and off for years for this.

Thanks for the reply. It is very similar to Meet the Applegates, but im sure it was a movie made around the 90's or early 2000's

Is it Tim Burton directed? (That would help)

I cant know if it was or wasnt, i have very patchy memories of it.

It has a very similar idea to the stepford wives sort of movie but with aliens. But based in england.

Hope someone knows it lol.

They found another possibility,

I get a real bad conncetion on the pineapple chunks clip, but trying to watch it looks like that just has to be it as they invite the neighbors over and they are serving pineapple chunks. And they are aliens.
