To quote a certain interaction at the end of the film would be to spoil a major part of the ending, but there is a simple exchange n the last 10 or so minutes of the film that wonderfully sums up the film's perspective on acknowledging loss and why it is so important to do so.

Cage's Robin isn't completely silent like his character in Willy's Wonderland, but the entertainment values of the performance comes from Cage completely losing himself inside this character and his embracing of Robin's physicality.

While whodunit lovers may be let down since the mystery of what happened to Robin's pig isn't really one, they'll surely get something out of how expertly gradual Robin's search reveals what kind of person he is, who he used to be and what he thinks about modern life.
