Lemmon's character is a great believer in nuclear power, and has great affection for the plant where he works.

The film does a great job of questioning the risks in the use of nuclear power and the lengths that some will go to keep things the way they are, all while delivering great performances in an all-around well-crafted film.

The Oscar-nominated screenplay by Bridges, Mike Gray, and TS Cook seamlessly blends a story of the dangers of nuclear power with stories of towing the corporate line as well as the story of a television reporter who wants to be taken more seriously and creates one story rich with nail-biting tension....
