Names you can never spell correctly

Tools

I just thought of this as a thread idea, if it's already done, let mine be swept away.

But for me the name of that guy who played the lead in Donnie Darko, and starred in the gay cowboy movie, well he's got a name i always need to copy and paste if i really want to specify who i'm talking about. A friend suggested i read F Scott Fitzgerald's unfinished last novel when he saw my Audible list and that The Great Gatsby was amongst them, and that audiobook was really good with this actor doing the narration. His (Jake's) sister Maggie also has a lovely voice who does Anna Karenina. Jake and Maggie, great voices, great actors.

Now the ball's in your court, describe the person you can't spell, with their film highlights and little instances where they have made an impact on you in whatever way. As for Jake i really like him in the two thrillers i've seen him in, and there's a show he's in too that i might return to since i can't watch my beloved collection for awhile, some kind of legal drama.

Also the director whose last name is Kieslowski, his first name always trips me up, same with Zulawski.

Thanks, never heard of her before, for me it's a combo of:

Made

and

Lyn

Madelyn

Thou art healed now.
Ah that works. Before we go any further, I should let you know that I suck at spelling. It's what I do second worst.

I hear ya, conversation is my worst thing i think, i overcompensate sometimes by trying to be a chatterbox, and come off i think as a .... well there i go again. Thanks for playing along!!

My last name is difficult to spell and pronounce. It has two vowels and 8 consonants. Two of those consonants are repeated. One of them more than three times. It is annoying.

My worst thing is trying to learn a new language. I pretty much can't spell any non-English-based name without looking it up and trying really hard. Like Skarsgard I think is right but it took me forever to even get minutely confident in that. Mikklesen I think is how his name is spelt but I'm not sure. Tchikovsky is wrong but I don't know what's right. Beethoven has to be autocorrected to be correct. Anastasia is hard as hell and I think it was autocorrected to be right. Aronofsky is a weird one that I don't know if it's right and spell check won't tell me. Guillermo might be right but I don't know at all.

All those x, y, and z's and in what order!! I concur, and learning a new language is something i'll not even consider doing, in my teens i weakly desired to learn German to read my favorite philosopher in the original, but that lasted as long as it takes a chain smoker to light up another ciggie.

Madeline Kahn and Madleen Kane. Tricky tricky!

And that threw me too; when I first read Madelyn Cline's name (that was tough) I got confused and realized the hot blonde in Glass Onion was a bit more alive than Madeline (I think) Kahn and they are different people. Sometimes I hate English...

Yikes. I won't disparage anyone his name because I always have to spell and/or pronounce my last name so I have no room to talk. I will express sympathy though even when mine isn't "as bad". My last name is five letters and is not pronounced how an English-speaker expects. I respectfully correct people all of the time. I could get mad or just politely say, "Yo man it's actually pronounced vis," and be so helpful. I misspelt "pronounced"...

It's not even a lack of intelligence. I'm a bright person. I just can't learn another language, nor can I spell well. If someone comes up to me and tells me his English isn't perfect as his second language, I have mad props for him anyway because his second language sounds better than mine does. He's already doing well. I've learned that everyone has strengths and weaknesses and each person's differs from other people's. Expecting someone else to be like you bar none is silly.

Anyway I didn't mean to go off on tangents. I do that a lot. It's not really on purpose. It just happens.
