This past weekend at the annual Power Morphicon in Anaheim, California, the core cast of the next Power Rangers series was announced by the stars of the current (and final Neo-Saban era) series, Power Rangers: Super Ninja Steel.

The upcoming 2019 series will be the 1st series of the Hasbro PR era. Hasbro, in a major deal with Saban, started out with a contract for just doing their new toy line, but ultimately bought out the company along with select others for a whopping $522 million dollars. Having made the deal with Nickelodeon pre-sale, Hasbro has agreed to air the series in 2019 as part of the sale.

Plot:
Set in the future, a secret agency combines a newly discovered substance called “Morph-X” with animal DNA to create the Power Rangers Beast Morphers team. The Rangers must fight off an evil sentient computer virus bent on taking over the source of all Ranger power, the Morphin Grid itself. Featuring never-before-seen leather suits and an all-new beast-themed arsenal (including dynamic new Zords), fans should get ready for a season full of secret ops and morphinominal fun.

In an intricate move, Saban/Hasbro have adapted the 2012 sentai series Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters rather than move forward.

The new Rangers will be played by newcomers Jasmeet Baduwalia (Blue), Rorrie Travis (Red), and Jacqueline Scislowski (Yellow). Casting is still underway for the Gold and Silver Rangers, which are believed to be a comedic duo.
