I saw this film with a friend when it was first released. There is a scene at a tennis court where Catherine Deneuve is facing away from the camera next to the court. She turns around and then walks toward the camera. My friend says the scene was supposed to begin as she walks toward the camera. Facing away should have been edited. I say that Bunuel was too great a director to release a film with an editing mistake. There is some reason for Deneuve to turn around.

Any other opinions?

Thank you.
