WOW! What a great documentary; the life and times of super star Ginger Baker! It was great and I learned a few facts. He was born in 1939 and remembers having to take shelter when German V1 or V2,s flew over. His father was killed in action and he grew up more less like a small time punk. He was trained in classic jazz drumming and was a partner with the super group CREAM. I did not know that he was a heroin addicted. His life just tumbled from Africa to America, to Europe and now as a senior citizen of South Africa. He is married to a young Afro South African and has a modest farm with 38 horses. The film reviews his drumming career as well as his social ups and downs. Eric Clapton said it best when he described Mr. Baker as a well rounded musician who could arrange, produce, compose, mix and just play like a super star. A must see for the Rock and Roll guru!
