Old mermaid movie

i remember very little of the movie but here 's what i remember

its with actors not cartoon

there is a ship full of sailors they catch a mermaid the men put her in a sort of aquarium the men go crazy about her romanticly

a girl on the ship has sex with a guy while their having sex her legs turn into a fish's lower body and starts strangling him

that's all i remember sorry

I never saw it and didn't check to see if it has the strangle scene, but this generally fits the plot.
