Machines making robots from human on a spaceship

Hi,
I am looking for a movie name. I dont remember any actors from it. I watched it as a child.
So, i would say its from the 80īs. It takes place in space, on a spaceship. Some virus or alien or i dont know what gets on the ship. The machines come to life, they start to build other machines/robots. These machines then start to kill the people on the ship and make robots/cyborg from them.
Thats all i remember.

It really sounds like Virus (1999), I know that's newer than you said but it matches almost exactly except that Virus took place on a Boat/Ship but the virus did come from space if I remember right.

Man, thats exactly what I was looking for. I would never guess its from 1999. The rating is pretty poor, but I think Ill watch it anyway.
