There are many movies about genetic and DNA themes. Those movies can be either scary or cool if it happens to us.

There was this film starring Mark Dacasos called DNA.
It was a damn neat film.

The Fly and Moon are two great choices I also think The Island is an awesome film involving DNA/Genetics.

Dr. Pretorius in Bride of Frankenstein clearly was experimenting with DNA when he created his litlle people in those bottles.

Yeah, it's Gattaca. Hell, it's one of my top twenty favorite movies of all-time, so I'd certanily hope it's the best film about genetics.
