Man on Wire

This amazing documentary focuses on French wire walker Philippe Petit who on August 7, 1974, did what most people (and even some involved with his feat) deemed impossible: crossing between the newly built World Trade Center towers 1,350 feet in the air on nothing more than a thin wire. Man on Wire captivates the audience with Philippes highs and lows preceding, during, and after the extraordinary act. After watching his documentary you very much get a feel for Philippes passion and enthusiasm for doing what he loves. However, as beautiful as you may trust his personality is, there is a dark side of Philippe that rears it's ugly head once fame takes hold...and friendships and old lovers are no longer needed.
