The way we play this game is:
1) You must give the names of two directors.
2) The next person must then give a two-part answer. They must name the two actors who have appeared together in one movie apiece by each of those two directors and name the two movies in which they appeared together.
(NOTE: This is not a random thing like the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game in which any old answer will do, as long as it effectively links the actors in six degrees or less. There is a specific answer in each case!

Simple, right?
For example, I give these two directors:
Francis Ford Coppola / Sam Peckinpah
And the correct (two-part) answer is:
1) James Caan / Robert Duvall
2) The Godfather / The Killer Elite
Hope that's not too complicated.
I'll give another one, and the next person has to answer:
Sam Peckinpah / John Carpenter
