Yup, when I got SOTL a couple weeks ago I was pissed cause it wasn't a Widescreen format. Fear not, they did release the Special Edition in Widescreen. Had to do some looking for it, but they made it.
Warner needs to get a grip on reality. We've had to replace a lot of their cases at work cause the button thing breaks. For a while we were just using the cases just like them where the movies had been stolen or sent back unreparable. Now we've been forced to start cutting the actual case up so that we can put the movie back on the shelf.
What studio execs need to start doing is checking this site out from time to time. I don't know how many forums out there have been responsible for Ultimate Editions and what not, but usually when a site somehow gives the idea for something like that other companies need to start checking things out. It would be a good idea on their part if they did that.
We as consumers, have ideas on what we want to buy, and they need to take notice since we are buying what they are putting out. I just wish they would release one version and be done with it, but NOoooooooooooo, we've got to have a regular version, special edition, criterion, ultimate edition. Make up your frickin minds people. You can only buy one movie so many times.
Anyway, I have spoken my piece and now must get ready for work. Laurie, the next time you have a meeting with execs, tell them to check this site out if they haven't already. We've got ideas that are worth money to them.
