Only remember a scene

From what I can remember, I think most of the movie takes place on a boat or on a train. One of the main characters, a dark haired young woman, is shot and killed while sleeping near the end of the movie.

2.Yes. I think she wore a red dress, but not sure about that. Main reason for saying it was a boat or a train is the bedroom looked like a boats cabin or a train compartment. May have been a tiny hotel room though. There was also some drinking and romance, and from the vibe I can remember, I would have guessed it was supposed to be from the 1940's or before, but I'm pretty sure the gun that was used to kill her had a silencer, so guess not...

Oh, and there was another person present in the bedroom when the woman was shot

The movie was probably made after 2000
