Can Anybody Help Me?

I have another movie stuck in my head. It came on Sci-Fi Channel (if that helps any), and I only remember one scene. This woman, and a man (possibly her husband) are talking to some robot-boy in a wheelchair with a red baseball cap on backwards. When she says that she'll see him next week, she uses a pay phone (to call a different son the robot-boy doesn't know about, or to call and talk to the robot-boy), but remember she's still in the apartment that she was in with the robot-boy. Whenever she hangs the phone up, you hear a loud thud in the room she just came from, and suggests the robot-boy has knocked out or killed his father. Can anybody help me out?
