I can't help but think one out of the Rams and the Saints will lose this week. 6 point teasers are very popular with betters, and that would currently give you NO-2 and LA-1. It looks too easy, and if the books were very worried these spreads would be up to -9 since ties lose and 3 is a common number. It's hard to make a strong case for either dog winning outright although I think the Rams are very vulnerable and Philly at this moment is playing like they did last year.

Let's talk about teasers. Bill Simmons always talks about them, but I have no clue how they work. I assume it's linking multiple bets together?

If anybody wants to make picks this weekend, these are the lines to use.

Can someone explain what the -10 to the right of the o/u and spread means.

Well yea and we could go on forever with the amount of different bets that are available. A basic 2 team tease was always 6 points, but for some sportsbooks I think it's 7 points. You have to win 2 games but you get those additional points to your sides. Ties lose. You can also do more teams for more points. There's action reverses, parlays, you can play the moneyline, moneyline parlays, you can do the runline in baseball, the puckline in hockey, you can mix sports, and then there's the over and unders. There's so much do to, and there's a lot I'm not well versed in because bookies don't mess around with all that. Now there's also live in game betting with adjusted odds. There's also adjusted odds before the game starts. It really goes on and on.

Although I've never bet online, I'm sure that's the juice per $100 wagered. You risk $110 to win $100, $55 to win $50, $1100 to win $1000, etc. Sometimes, if they don't want to move the line, they may shade one team making them -115 with the other -105 or -120 with the other even money. It doesn't seem like much but it sure can add up. My base bet used to be $400. I was crazy and would probably average about 20 bets a day. Sometimes with all the college sports I'd go over 40 bets in a day. Leaving it at 20, that's 140 $400 bets in a week. If I win exactly 50% of my bets, which is hard for a lot of people to do, that's $2800 in losses for the week. It's not hard to see how someone like me who had no control could get into trouble.

With my tendencies, I would be right there with you.

Probably will never bet sports, cuz God Save the Queen if I won.

I had 5 Swatches on my arm…
1. Colts
2. Cowboys
3. Chargers
4. Saints

Can't wait to see all that Silver and Blue in LA.

Man, how bad did Luck look? His arm is just not there, or maybe he never had an arm. I don't remember it being that weak. Literally reminds me of Peyton.

I tried to watch that Cowboys game, but my sleep cycle had other ideas.

Yea it looked like him and them lacked purpose, and at first like maybe even the weather bothered them.

All my picks won. The score was no where near what said but still Chief vs Patriots and Rams vs Saints. I wasnt sure about Eagles and Saints game but I knew Colts and Chargers would choke somewhat. And we get Brady vs Mahomes 2

It's not considered choking if you aren't favored to win IMO.

Anyways, very predictable and boring weekend of football. I'll be shocked if the Chiefs beat the Patriots. The AFC just plain sucks at taking them down.

Did not see that Charger's team laying that egg. Guess NE will be like Alabama, just gotta go with em' until someone beats em'.

Actually they have made the playoffs 16 times during this run. 8 times (50%) they were taken out by an AFC team prior to making the Super Bowl. Out of 8 Super Bowl appearances, they have lost to an NFC team 3 times (37.5%). I do understand how bitterness can sometimes get in the way of facts.

I think KC likely wins this coming weekend but we'll see. Of course when it comes to Tom Brady's legacy, according to your logic, it'll look better if he gets his ass kicked by KC, than it would beating them and going on to have a great game in a Super Bowl loss.

No I'm saying the AFC competition has sucked, for a team to literally make the Super Bowl 50% of the time in the last 16 years.

I don't know. It seems like the teams that have been more consistently successful have been in the AFC while the NFC has been very up and down. Meanwhile when the Patriots haven't made the Super Bowl since 2001 the AFC is 5-4.
