A few movie titles needed please.

I decided to ask for a few titles here to save space on the board. Anyway, one movie is a boating movie starring Matthew Modine and Jennifer Grey. The other is a "school" movie. A boy is struggling in a high society school, and he commits suicide in his french class from all the pressure (all the while mumbling the phrases he's supposed to be learning). I thought it was Dead Poets Society, but it isn't. Thanks in advance (^_~)
