ok, seeing as I have TIME these days, been catching up on my leisure activities. Here's where we are:
Miracles - a horrible mistake series done by Skeet Ulrich of Jericho fame. Horrible mistake. An abortive attempt at doing a tamer, more churchified Supernatural. Note the word "abortive"- season was canceled with unaired episodes, and for good reason. It seemed to be exactly my sister's speed....which is saying something, because so is Frost and Midsommer Murders. The only thing it wasnt, is English. Nice little cameo by 2 Lost actors in the same episode, and by the chick that plays Stanley's wife with on Jericho with Skeet. If you are tempted to watch this, dont.
Blade: The Series. House of Chthon? Please. You mean House of Hugh Hefner.
I, of course, made the horrible mistake of NOT watching the pre-series release video called (you guessed it) House of Chthon, and wasted my money on the series. I could barely get through the first episode. I guess vamp-o-philes are also porn addicts. What a shame - I actually thought there might be some redeeming intellectally entertaining storyline. So yeah, this one's a sellback.
Bionic Woman Bionic bore. I've watched 4 episodes, and had to detour over to Blade, because I can already chart the direction of Bionic Woman. Buffy #2, I mean. Ok, I feel like venting.
- Problem #1: A BARTENDER lives in the posh, COVETED California loft that girlfriend lives in? A BARTENDER? Give me a break. I feel insulted. They need to do a backstory explaining that she "came into an inheritance" when her parents died. Do you people know how much it costs to live in CA?? She's lucky to live in a postage stamp apt on a BARTENDERS salary. That or she's turning tricks as a sideline. Same incredulity for the vintage Saab/BMW(?) she's purbing around town in. Not a college dropout, my friend. That, or boyfriend Will was paying some serious cash for that relationship. This story is so incongruous it defies reality. (pun wasnt intended) And is becoming painful to watch.
The Black Donnellys Oh god. Make it stop! Another failed series, and we can all see why. I actually wanted to watch this one. I WANTED to like this one. But after the sheer stupidity shown by the characters in the storyline, I just had to stop - it was driving me insane. I wanted to scream at the screen. You got Dumb (Kevin), REALLY DUMB, Also Crippled, and Very Violent (Jimmy), Supposed to Be Smart (Tommy), Lothario (Sean), and Stupid Tortured Bad/Good Girl (Jenny). It cant get any dumber. I had enough when Jenny had sex with Tommy and then told him it was over in the morning. The shameless pathetic plot writing can get NO cheesier! I can chart the course of this story in my sleep, which means I refuse to waste my time watching it. If tempted, dont buy it!

to watch. I KNEW I should have just opted for the Alfred Hitchock disc sets!
