I don't know if this was mentioned, but I know tons of people who would run out and get the godfather trilogy on DVD, and that'd be nice if they were good DVDs (with the features and stuff),

Can you also bring up the snap-case, and the forced advertisements some DVD's have (IE: The Sixth Sense, whenever someone turns it on, 5 movie previews come on, which you're forced to watched, some people can't skip through them)

This is just wishful thinking, but a nice special edition of some of these movies would be nice: Goodfellas, Reservoir Dogs, Jerry Maguire, Princess Mononoke, High Fidelity and Dances With Wolves (Dances With Wolve's DVD is kinda poor)!!

I feel kinda greedy! LOL

are there any release dates yet on dvd for the family man, unbreakable, cast away?

wow; thanks

In a previous thread, Laurie said Unbreakable will be out in April on DVD.

The Godfather Trilogy is due out this summer and it's loaded.

The snap cases are on my list.

The trailers before The Sixth Sense are a standard feature with all Disney owned films including the studio's divisions of Buena Vista, Touchstone, and most Dimension releases. Disney has already said they will not change their format. There are ways to bypass the trailers though. Almost every DVD player on the market has either a bypass button or you can use the skip ahead buttons...kind of like changing tracks on a CD.

All the films you mentioned except Dances and High Fidelity will have special edition re-releases by the end of 2002.

Cast Away and Family Man are both slated for May releases.

Hey again, Laurie

I was just thinking and wondered if these movies are up for re-releases as well,

Casino
Raging Bull
New York, New York
The Funniest Man Alive

Finally, do you know when Family Man, The Grinch, Chocolat, and Castaway are coming out?

Thanks, sorry for any inconvienience, but you're the only inside source I know of

thanks

Will it have all 3 endings? Yum yum.

Ok. Hi everybody. Sorry I've been gone this week. I had an 80 hour week trying to sort out everything that happened Monday in Chicago. My major meeting with the digital folks went extremely well and I found out a bunch of DVD goodies that are going to be on future discs...like animated interview-like biographies. I'm still going through all my notes including a HUGE list of every DVD coming out from now until May of 2002 as well as every TV series in pre-production. I should have something posted about all the inside stuff I found out tomorrow night.

Ok y'all. I've gone through all of my notes and compiled and 15 page list of everyone coming out and/or in pre-pro. Needless to say it's WAY to long to put here. So, if you have any questions on specific titles, let me know.

I have a training class next week through Sony to learn two new technologies that are coming in the next few months. I'll report on those hopefully next weekend.

hey laurie anything about police academy 2, back to the future, almost heroes, fritz the cat, robin hood: men in tights and national lampoon's attack of the 5'2" women

how bout "China Town," "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,"?? Awakenings? How about Heat? argh, how about "Dumb and Dumber" ??

Is there any plan to release Ed Wood on DVD? How about a Farrely Brothers or Coen Brothers boxed set?

I'm just asking because I'm planning to buy them, and am assuming a new one will come out
