Donnie Darko is an excellent movie. A little difficult to understand in one viewing, but it manages to be completely unique while also perfectly presenting teen angst in a way we can all understand.

I'm not sure if I'd call the director's cut 'superior', but it certainly makes many of the elements of the movie easier to understand. Especially

But either way, it's an excellent film.

That said...

If you believe it's a better movie than Spirited Away, we may have to fight.
