If nothing else, i respect Kevin Smith because he isnt up his own ass all the time. His first movie was simply ripping on pop culture, and Smith thought, 'Well, this is what i want to do.' So he goes on making movies with his friends, admitting to his own lack of cinematic style and juvinille sense of humor. Regardless of how i felt about his flicks, (i think some of them are awful,) i still have a deal of respect for the guy.
Clerks II had some good laughs, though. The bit between Star Wars and LOTR wasnt particularly imaginitive, but i was rolling on the floor.
