Rocky Gift Set?

Is this Rocky DVD Gift Set worth it? I've only seen Rocky 1, not the other 4, are they worth getting the set?

I think that's kinda bad how 2 of the DVD's in the set are gonna be non-anamorphic unfortanetly.
Why is that?

That's a good question...Rocky 3 and 4 are allright, but I'm not all that convinced about 2 and 5. You should ask Ollie, he's a big fan!!

I've been asking my contacts at work about this and nobody seems to know for sure why some of the Rocky films are not anamorphic transfers. The only thing I can think of is if the original prints were 1.85 aspect ratios then the studio may figure that springing for a anamorphic release would be a waste of money. Also if the films were encoded by a separate manufacturer, the discs may not be good enough quality for the transfer. I've got a call in to the DVD division head of the studio now, so hopefully I'll find out in a day or two.
