Best Drama

I'd have to go with Taxi Driver/2001 a space odyssey

Even though 2001 a space odyssey might not be a drama i still think it requires a mention, Stanley Kubrick is a legend.

Top 5 IMO

5. Taxi Driver

4. Silence of the Lambs

3. Braveheart

2. One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest

In the Beginning...
I've gotta go with The Last Samurai.

I would have said Schindler's List, but Zwick's masterpiece really hit me in a profound way.

Both are excellent films.

I also have to give a nod to Amistad, which was (I believe) some of Spielberg's best.

Apollo 13 as well, for its unwavering accuracy, and the way it captured the entire temperament of the world during the ordeal.

ahh..
girl, interuppted is a great movie, but so it a beautiful mind. the last samurai really seems nice, but so did mystic river. braveheart was amazing gory and dramatic, but so was- you know what. Dramatic movies are all really good in their own sense. i can't pick a favorite.

What are your favorite drama films? Discuss.

Mine:

Ordinary People - wow, what a great film. Truly about normal people- amazingly directed, and superbly acted. I love this movie.

Little Women - yeah, kind of sappy, but I love it.

Beautiful Mind - Thought-provoking. Very well done, I think.

I've got more, just haven't watched 'em in a while.

I think Girl, Interrupted is one of the best drama's that I have ever seen!!
The acting really added to it!!

Oh, what is that about (no spoilers now, I just want to know if it's worth a Saturday night?)

Oh it's based on a true story. Taken from a novel about a girl's experience in a mental institution. It is so good and very touching. I've watched it a billion times!! i'd definatley recommend it for a Saturday night!
