Michael Clarke Duncan Talks "Daredevil" Sequel

July 9, 2006

Michael Clarke Duncan spoke to Blackfilm.com about where he could see the character Kingpin in a "Daredevil" sequel (if it ever happens):

What I thought would be kinda cool is that you see him in jail, we see him in prison. You start from the end of Daredevil, when the sirens and Daredevil is gone and see the Kingpin in shackles. You see him going to prison. You see him getting locked up and you see his boys saying, "What are you going to do now?" and he says, "I need to train. I need to get better. I need to get quicker, and then next thing you know, you flaskback into the story where Kingpin is doing pull-ups, running sprints, and now he's slimmer, cause in his mind, he probably figures, "I lost it cause I was so big. If I were a bit quicker I would have get kicked Daredevil's behind". Then you see him getting out of prison, now you got me looking nice and everything. That's what I see.

Lost in never never land
What I see is a bad sequel to an all ready bad movie. I didn't enjoy the first one at all, and I hope they don't make a second one. It could have potential, but I have a feeling it would fall flat like the first one did if the same director is doing it.

For the love of God,Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

Could we see a sequel where Batman, Spiderman and the X-men all turn up to laugh at DareDevil for being the crapest superhero????

I would rather throw toxic waste in my eyes then watch another DD movie, or Ben Affleck film for that matter!

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbour?

I may be a loner here but I enjoyed the first and will definitely see the sequel even if I am the only one in the theatre.

Someone needs their fill.

Daredevil is actually a very cool character if you read the comics (save for Brian Michael Bendis writing...wait that doesn't really help my argument).

I just have a huge problem with Ben Affleck playing him, huge mistake. Enough said.

damn so much negative feedback

i thought Ben Affleck not only very much resembles the comic book Daredevil but he plays him very good. i dunno why people didnt like the 1st one maybe cuz just like the comic Daredevil doesnt have that much action or any super-villians like spider-man or batman its more about the story and DD than it is about other stuff

i really do hope the make DD 2 i loved ( directors cut was what it should be in the theaters) the 1st one and will definitly watch the 2nd one

I'm with the minority view here too...loved the flick. It's only natural that Jennifer Garner reprise her role as Electra to, especially that she and Ben Affleck are married now.

I suspect that Colin Farrel is too well-known now to demand lesser bucks to play Bullseye again. So there will probably be another villain in it besides Kingpin.

What’s up with the Daredevil reboot?

Sep 9, 2011

It’s been a good while since we’ve last heard anything of director David Slade’s Daredevil reboot for Fox and Marvel. Looks like that’s been intentional.
Slade, who’s given us a bad-ass vampire film in 30 Days of Night and what some think is an under-rated classic in Hard Candy, might been the cause of any news delay on the film. According to his Twitter account, Slade firmly said: “The Daredevil news is simply that we are taking our time to get the script right. No casting, or other decisions will be made until then.”
Got to respect that. After the Deadpool and Wolverine 2 delay, this is a possible new route Fox is taking to make good on making damn fine films, like their X-Men: First Class.
Just IMO but I hope they do not ever make a sequel to Daredevil.

I never understood why everyone hated Daredevil so much. I thought it was a decent enough superhero pic.

I agree with you, this was not a terrible movie, wasn't great, but it was entertaining enough to watch.

This is just IMO but the first sucked so bad why would they even try for a second, or a reboot as it's being called.

Daredevil news next month

Dec 3, 2011

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about David Slade’s planned Daredevil reboot, but that will soon be changing. Slade briefly updated the film on his Twitter account, and mentioned we can expect some “news in N-year.” No clue as to what will be revealed just yet. Perhaps the film’s release date? Or the lead actor?

I'm not old, you're just 12.
I would like to see a new Daredevil movie. I was a huge fan of the comic book back in the day, I loved the Brian Michael Bendis and Ed Brubaker series', and I'd love to see a film based on those iterations of the character. Won't happen, but then with the more realistic Batman flicks being popular, it could...I almost wish Marvel Studios had the character back, so that they could use the Punisher as much as the comics did.

Actors? I would say Matt Damon would be good, or maybe Guy Pearce, but I doubt he'd say yes, seeing as he turned the first one down.
