Rock 'n' Roll movies!

Tools

I'm not old, you're just 12.
I was just watching the commitments on VHS (I'm such a Flintstone) and I got to thinking about the all but dead genre of Rock "n" Roll movies! I was wondering what everyone's favorites of this genre would be, if any. My personal choices in no particular order:

The Commitments
This is Spinal Tap
The Filth and the Fury
Rock and Roll High School
A Hard Day's Night
Untitled (Almost Famous)
Head
Woodstock
The Kids are Alright
Janis

Anyone else care to contribute?

Solid List "Monkey Punch". I would add

The Blackboard Jungle/ Rock Around The Clock
Jailhouse Rock/ King Creole
The Girl Can't Help It.
Alan Parker's The Wall
Ralph Bakshi's American Pop
Woodstock
The Last Waltz
The Rolling Stones Gimme Shelter
The Who's Quadraphenia

Tons more I dig but these are some of the best IMO.

Ah... Joey the Lips... one of the great jazz players of our age.

And just so you know...

"The Irish are the blacks of Europe. Dubliners are the blacks of Ireland. North Dubliners are the blacks of Dublin."

Oh... The Commitments isn't a Rock and Roll Movie. It's a movie about Soul.

The Commitments rocks harder than any other movie, thus I call it a Rock 'n' Roll movie, okay?
Oh, and American pop was made by Ralph Bakshi, not Don Bluth.

Right you are "Mickey" Im always getting Bluth and Bakshi mixed up.

Thanx for the correction

the blues brothers could almost count, but not 2000 that sucked

The Emperor of Ice Cream
If The Wall counts, it certainly gets my vote.
