I'm super glad you're looking into it, and all the more glad you enjoy it, so thanks for checking it out! You obviously understand it well enough so far. Dead Can Dance has influenced a lot of genres outside of them as well. And don't be embarrassed about not having heard the term, most people haven't. Hence why I did probably the genre's first write-up.
